Commitment to Food Safety Amid South Africa’s Current Food Crisis

In light of the concerning food crisis currently affecting South Africa (2024), where hospitalizations and tragic losses have been linked to contaminated food from spaza shops, we at Food Sock Meals want to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our clients and their communities.

Ensuring the safety and quality of our Food Sock products has always been our top priority. To uphold this commitment, we have implemented stringent measures to guarantee that every product you receive meets the highest standards.

Regular Health Inspections

Our food factories, where all Food Socks are carefully packaged, undergo routine inspections by certified health authorities.

Voluntary Laboratory Testing

While not required by law, we take an extra step by sending food samples twice annually to Mérieux NutriSciences, an internationally accredited laboratory, for comprehensive testing of potential contaminants. Our most recent tests, conducted in March 2024, yielded clean results. A second round of testing for the 2024 year is currently underway.

Consistent and Trusted Supply Chain

To maintain consistency and ensure the use of safe, untainted ingredients, we source our raw materials from trusted suppliers and prioritize long-term relationships within our supply chain.

Your trust in us is crucial, not only for the growth of our vision but also for safeguarding the communities we serve. We appreciate the trust you place in Food Sock Meals, and we will continue to prioritize safety, quality, and transparency in every step of our process.

If you have any questions or would like further details about our safety measures, please do not hesitate to reach out.
